The Bees picked up only their second away point and clean sheet of the season following a goalless draw at Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night. After the match, Thomas Frank said "It was a very even game, so a point is probably fair". Well, it didn't look like that at the start with wave after wave of Brighton attacks, and them hitting the post in the 4th minute after a characteristically poor clearance by Flekken. However, Flekken redeemed himself by making some great saves, then in the 13th minute, against the run of play, Wissa was through and his great strike bulged the net ... only for it to be ruled offside by a centimetre (I'm afraid my usual repost would be if only he was a different religion then he would have been onside, but this can't apply as he is Muslim). Then in the 36th minute, after his heroics keeping us in the game, Flekken came off injured with Valdimarsson making his Premier League debut. He did well except for one heart-stopping moment in the first half with the ball at his feet he nearly got caught in possession. We had one final chance just before the break, but Mbeumo curled his shot wide of the post. The second half was less eventful but Mee came off injured (now three centre backs injured) and Ji-soo Kim made his PL debut. We had one really good break following a Brighton corner, with Damsgaard, Mbeumo and Wissa all involved but couldn't make it count. The game ended goalless.
