I was reasonably confident going into the game that we would get three points, plus it was now time for my lucky Brentford coffee mug to start working again. We fully deserved the win and started each half really brightly but allowed Brighton to get back into the game towards the end of each half, even in the second half when they had gone down to 10-men. At the start of the game a great pass by Lewis-Potter down the left side of the pitch found Schade (does he ever smile?) and he passed into the centre for Wissa to shoot that was well saved by their keeper low down to his tright. Then in the 9th minute we took the lead. Another great move starting in our half with a reverse pass from Damsgaard to Lewis-Potter on the left who then delivered a great through ball down the centre for Mbeumo to latch on to and smash it into the net with his right foot. Unfortunately, they equalised with a header in the third minute of added on time (the sixth goal of the season we have let in during either first or second half stoppage time). Within two minutes of the restart Mbeumo made it 2-1 with a left footed shot that got a deflection and went in. Then in the 58th minute Wissa made it 3-1 (with another deflection) after a great break then pass by Mbeumo. We let them get one back in the 81st minute but a Norgaard header in the 5th minute of added on time made it 4-1 and a great home victory.
