A 7-goal thriller ends with us getting all three points at home to Ipswich

Although we had more injury woes (Ajer again injured), Wissa was back, and we needed to win against Ipswich Town as it is vital we put as much distance between us and the teams at the bottom end of the league. We had an early effort but with just over half an hour gone we found ourselves 0-2 down, with errors probably from Pinnock. Possibly our worst 40 minutes of the season, then we managed to get one back a minute before the end of first half normal time after a great run from Lewis-Potter (who had one of his best games for us), put Janelt through who crossed for Wissa to sweep it into the net. Then in the first minute of added on time another good move sees Wissa shoot and the ball eventually hits a defender and goes in (although given as an own goal it should definitely be credited to Wissa). So the first half ended 2-2. In the second half it was all Brentford and we had numerous chances to take the lead. Then in the 51st minute another great run by Lewis-Potter sees him being dragged down and the ref gives a free-kick on the edge of their area and their player is booked. Fortunately, VAR intervenes and a penalty is correctly given, and Mbeumo scores to give us the lead. Then in the 69th minute another run from Lewis-Potter on the edge of their area sees him fouled by the same defender who gets another yellow card and is sent off. With Ipswich down to 10-men we should have scored at least another two goals. Then against the run of play they equalise in the 86th minute, again another mistake from Pinnock who was ball watching. Regardless of all the dominance we had in the second half it looked like the game would end in a draw. That was until the 90+6 minute when a Mbeumo cross (?shot) went straight in as both their keeper and a defender thought each other was going to clear it. Surely, that was the end of the excitement, but a minute later they hit the post wih Flekken well beaten. Phew, we got all three points but the defence needs to tighten up before our next game.
